Why old games' DLC are still be sold for a big amount of money?

I guess... look at Alan Wake... released past in 2010, the 2 dlc are sold for 6,68 euro each...

I think after 3/4 years a DLC should be sold for free or at lease for 2,00 euro...

how non backwards compatible might hurt xbox

I don't get why people are crying about backwards compatability most people who buy a new console will be playing new games. If it's that big a deal to this small amount of people to play old games just keep your 360 problem solved.

they got round it in the old gran turismo games by just renaming the cars,why didn`t they just do that?

i bet somewhere down the line there will be a porsche dlc pack for a daft amount of money.

 

It is the game company that puts the price, not Microsoft. You should direct this to them, not Microsoft.

 

Alan Wake actually lost Remedy money (which is why there is no sequel sadly). If you lost money on a product are you going to start giving it away for free? No. No you are not.

 

Because they can. That's the primary reason that DLC exists, they can sell you 80% of a game for $5, and still get $20 for the DLC even years later.

I bought Fallout 3 when it was on sale for $5, then realized that there was $50 worth of DLC, thankfully the DLC went on sale shortly thereafter.
