    How can it be that the xbox does support Dolby Vision in apps and games but not for the Blu-Ray player?

    The Blu-Ray plsyer is pritty much the only thing the xbox one x has going for it!

    It should just be a smal software update for it to be done.

    Sony and oppo have done it for their Blu-Ray players so why not Microsoft.

    If its hardware related just say it so we the fans know..

    Yes, please bring Dolby Vision support to the Xbox 4k Blu-ray player! I have a vast collection of 4k Blu-Rays and a tv that supports Dolby Vision (LG C9).

    Thanks for replying. I've read somewhere that dolby vision was supported on streaming app at the beginning but Microsoft as proposed Dolby vision for Blu-ray player.

    Why crosoft proposed DV only on streaming app, that ridiculous! It is a hardware problem?

    Of course the Blu-Ray disks I'm using are UHD and have Dolby Vision.

    Dolby Vision is enabled on Xbox One X settings, TV HDMI ports are in Enhanced mode (4:4:4 4K/UHD HDR 60Hz), and the TV test (that can be found inside Xbox menu) returns all green ticks for my Xbox-to-TV connection.

    As said, Dolby Vision works with all streaming apps... but not when playing Blu-Ray UHD Dolby Vision disks.

    Dolby vision in the Netflix app

    I have an LG oled c7 and watch netflix trough webOs .

    By doing it this way you should get Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

    Microsoft will roll out an sofware update for netflix Dolby Vision shortly.

    For the moment Dolby Vision is not supported on the Netflix app via Xbox.

    I hope they also update the blu ray player shortly because there is much more content available on 4k uhd blu ray.

    Dolby Vision from 4K Bluray not being passed, but Dolby vision works with other apps.

    YCC was not enabled but, but color was, No updates for blu ray app. I am thinking it is the blu ray app as netflix on xbox outputs Dolby Vision without issue
