Why no Series X specific games?

I’m aware microsoft wants to make money and sell as many games as possible, but why are there no games at all made specifically for the Series X? I don’t mean Xbox one games “optimized” for the Series X. I mean why is there not a single game created to
make full use of the Series X’s power, available only for the X? If it’s also available on the Xbox one, doesn’t that mean it has to be limited enough to run on the Xbox one? What incentive is there to buy a Series X until such games are released? This has
made me regret buying one instead of a ps5. At least the ps5 has games made just for it like Gran Turismo 7 and Godfall. Is this to be a continuing trend or are there actual Series X games in the works? Because even Halo infinite will be for the Xbox one.
Please shed a light on this because I feel like selling my Series X and getting a ps5. Maybe I’ll get a Series X later when there’s games for it.

Thanks for the reply. Not necessarily exclusives. Halo infinite is exclusive, but still on the Xbox one. Yes, COD looks the same on the ps5 but thats just because its also a ps4/Xbox one game thats “optimized”. An example of why this doesn’t compare to an
actual Seriex X game is Destiny 2. I played both original and optimized versions and its basically the same thing, just with higher resolution and higher frame rates and HDR. The difference is not worth the $500 price tage of a Seris X IMO.

As for games not taking full advantage for a couple years, do you just mean on the Series X? Because the ps5, like I said, already has ps5-only games taking full advantage of its power like Godfall and soon, Gran Turismo 7 and others. I’ve been searching
and haven’t found a single Series X specific game. Not even a future release. Is this for real? Yes Gamepass is great, but there are no Series X specific games on there. Just these “optimized” games. Backward compatibility is also great, but not when that’s
ALL there is.

You are talking exclusives, then yes, you have to go where the games are that you want to play.

For me, its GamePass Ultimate. I get to play all these amazing games for no additional charge. Also the availability of my back catalog is a huge plus (back compat).

As for power, the games optimized do use the power. It's called smart delivery feature that brings in the optimization version of the games. For example, COD is 130GB vs 80 GB on the non-optimized and looks as good as the PS5. And we won't be seeing games
taking full advantage for a couple years.

series x has disc drive and the series s does not

smart delivery is so it downloads the content for the specific console

hence why the game case has series x and xbox one advertised on it. the disc can be used in series x and xbox one consoles, the series s does not have a drive therefore requires digital purchase.

Which specific Xbox do you have? A Series X or a One X? If you have the One X then the Xbox One version doesn't release till April so, if you've pre-ordered for that, then that would be why. If you've got a Series X, then that's a different issue

Series S/X optimized games can only run from the internal SSD or an expansion card made specifically for the Series S/X.
