Why no Netflix Super HD on Xbox One or 360

Okay, Bon3zz, your own link is self-defeating. At the bottom, it clearly states:

So Netflix just wont update there own website? i don't think so when little things like that can sway customers to ps4 at the most important decision time ever. It is a better picture from my windows 8 pc than 360 or x1.

 

It lies on your IP then, a 4300 or 5000+ bitrate is Super HD. Besides, why would Netflix care which console you buy?

 

I'm not sure why the availability is being debated.

The original announcements said that it wouldn't be on the One and 360. website still shows it not being available and they finally responded to my email asking for an eta which I received a " we don't know" response.

So the question we should be debating is "why"? The "Open Connect" requirement that's keeping some ISP's from providing it shouldn't impact hardware but when you look at why some ISP's aren't in the Open Connect program it all comes down to money....they
won't allow it because Netflix competes with their video services.

Netflix competes with Microsoft's video service....we may have just found our answer.

 

If that were the answer Netflix wouldn't be on Xbox at all.

Like I said, check the bitrate. Above 4300 and it is Super HD.

 

And once again, it doesn't. It's good to know people here are too ignorant to actually read the article and pay attention that the asterisk is referring to the roku box.

Also, if it was supported there buddy it would be listed. Don't give me that whole "LOL X1 IS A BLU RAY PLAYER". PS3 and PS4 is also a blu-ray player following that logic.

Why would that make a difference. If you know the Xbox service offers better quality video you'll use it regardless of the ability to use Netflix.

You should probably contact Netflix and let them know they are wrong about the services they offer, they are spreading false information apparently, probably PS fanboys.

 

It says on the website some devices will do SHD without the label HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT

I'll say it again, you're too ignorant to know what the asterisk is there for. IT IS DIRECTLY REFERRING TO THE ROKU BOX. IT'S RIGHT THERE. Besides, based off your signature alone it shows it's not even worth attempting to go back and forth with you on this
because you can't face the truth.

 

Unfortunately what should have been a very civil discussion is being turned into something else by someone that probably doesn't even own another device for comparison......and a Xbox Live Ambassador no less.

 

Until you show me proof the bitrate is below 4300 I'm simply going to say IN MY EXPERIENCE SHD is not named but available.

 

What more proof could you possibly want when Netflix is saying it's not available?
