Why my xbox warranty expired after service order being processed?

Hello Gents,

I shipped my console for service centre and it was in warranty which will be expire after 18 months from today.

but suddenly after the service order being processed they changed the warranty end date to May 6th and it got expired.

Is it normal?

I'm not sure if it is the same device or a replacement, I think I should wait for the package to arrive then.

Does it have the same serial number?

The console comes with a one year warranty from MS...... why is this discussion still going? The consumer has a responsibility in the warranty process.... and when warranty expires, it expires....

Call 1-800-4my-xbox (in the US) if you are still under warranty they will give you the information on sending it to them for repair for free. If your warranty is expired then you can still get it sent to them for repair but it will not be free you will
have to pay with a credit card before they can process the order.
