EA has already stopped implementing online passes for new games on all consoles and is in the process of cancelling out the requirement for older titles. It is not just for the next generation of consoles. Seeing how the link we both are sharing is from
EA's website, I don't know why you are unsure if it is real. But it is true.

You need to check your inbox on console. Or.the xbox app for pc for the codes
