    New GamerTag Won't Display Ingame

    I got it sorted.... kind of. Basically, I spoke to someone on a live chat and they told me it's not displaying because I have " 凰 " in my name. However, with the new changes it was my understanding I'd be able to use any name and have it display. Now I'm left WITHOUT my free name change and being forced to pay when I had no warning whatsoever that this name wouldn't display. Which is a bit unfair in my opinion.

    I'm also intrigued at why my name was removed in the first post? Was it because of the 'profanity' or is it just because names aren't allowed? If it's the former then you really aren't sorry, and if it's the latter then why could I (if I had a different
    name) publicly display my name on my profile but not in a forum? Seems odd either way.

    Xbox gamertag and Fortnite display name

    Hi there

    On fortnite the name can be set as the epic account names. I would suggest checking your epic account name and seeing about changing it to match there.
    I thought that whatever your xbox GT is, that's what you have to have as your Fortnite display name. My GT was "CrazyGamer1213" and my display name was also that. However my epic name is "AKAsyk." I obviously made my GT when I was younger so it's a bit cringe.
    So when I changed my GT to "KARMA," I expected the in-game display name to change- it didn't. Also when I click my home button it says my new GT right, but doesn't in fornite...

    No, you would have to change your tag. Some games offer custom name display, but not many
