Why my credit card informed me 2 times 8 HK$ been spend while in an unsuccessful purchasing?

Xbox Live Rewards vs Microsoft Rewards

I have been informed Xbox Live Rewards are going to be converted in Microsoft Rewards soon.

The FAQ tells 1 credit Xbox Live Rewards is equal to 1 credit Microsoft Rewards. But with my last purchase (about 85 Euro value) I got 4.263 credits on Xbox Live Rewards and 85 credits on Microsoft Rewards.

It seems in fact 50 Xbox Live Rewards are equal to 1 credit Microsoft Rewards.

Moreover on Microsoft Account page I need 2.000 credits to have 2 Euro gift card voucher. While at the same time I got more or less 4 Euro credit with one single purchase. That would mean I need to spend 2.000 Euro to have 2 Euro discount. That is 0,1% discount
compared to my actual 4% (MyVip Star level 2).

Am I making any calculation mistake?

U.S. military in Hong Kong

I bought my xbox in the US, came to HK and set it up, and now I can't add my U.S. credit card. Tells me to change my language to Chinese!

Usually that's a verification amount that will be refunded in about 48-72 hours. You would need to contact support directly and speak to billing to find out why you're unable to use that card to make purchases.

I have this same problem... but i have already been charged off my credit card and have microsoft points i can't spend...I've checked all the above also and i can't understand why credit card details matter when I have already purchased the points?? I have
tried buying camo and maps for black ops 2 and tried changing lots of things only to receive the same message.

For the last two days I have been trying to add spending money on my son's account like I have done many times before. I go in to my family section, select my sons name, click on spending, click on add money, select the amount and click Next. Every time
I get a message that says "Please call Microsoft support. We are having a trouble with your payment and we want to get it worked out." I have called Microsoft Support twice and both time neither person could figure out what was going one. Both said they
could call me the following day with a solution, except they didn't.

Why will my payment not go through? I have changed credit cards, reentered credit card information....I am at a total loss and my son is frustrated.

Check if your reentered credit card have a valid billing address associated, sometimes this can block any purchase or money transfert.

Hi Miss Bijoux. Guess my reply got messed up 5 days ago and no input is recorded.

Here it is again:

1, I am located in HK and also I am binded to HK region in my payment methid.

2. my rewards program is binded to HK region as well

3, Immediately after the purchase I got Microsoft billing email as formal notice

4, I got bank credit card charge notice as well immedetely.

5, My concole is set to HK region as well in HK local settings (Traditional Chinese).

Now with that cleared would you pls help escalate to backward compatibility team to verify /reproduce this issue? I check with my friends and they also had this issue when digitally purchase Catherine in HK Xbox store online.

There can be daily spending limits on new accounts. You may just need to while. Alternatively you could use a credit card for the purchase too.
