Why must i keep switching my audio settings every time I switch audio codes?

If you want the best in sound that it's usually best to have the headphone app be whatever headphone app corresponds to the audio code language of the Blu-ray disc or Web movie or game you're currently using.

Dolby Labs says their headphone app is only designed to take movies that are directly encoded in some form of Dolby language and convert it to a headphone language.

Dolby says if you tried to decode a DTS movie or lpcm movie with Dolby Atmos headphone you will not get as good of a sound.

Don't be recommends that if you have a DTS movie that you use DTS X headphone to decode that movie. Or to use Windows Sonic for movies that are natively LPCM.

Dolby Atmos Headphone app was only designed to work with Dolby movies and gives a very botched presentation when working with other audio formats.

The owners of DTS say the exact same thing above with the Dolby and DTS trademarks interswapped.

Doby doesn't try to decode a DTS movie nor does DTS try to decode a Dolby movie.

If that is the case then why doesn't the Xbox have a fifth sound option when set on headphone sound to be "match media type" which puts it on Dolby Atmos Headphone whenever a Dolby input is sensed, DTS headphone X whenever a DTS movie is sensed, and windows Sonic whenever an lpcm movie is sensed.

I don't think sound settings were meant to be changed every time you change your Blu-ray. That is very inconvenient.

If you want the Xbox to be the best Blu-ray player then it should be able to automatically sense and change the sound to whichever the headphone formats you need if you put it in headphone mode.

That way you could just set it and forget it.

Luckily I found a way you could sense what sound your media is in. Press the right stick button while the movie is playing to see what format is currently playing on the TV.

I may not exactly be an expert in computer programming but I know that you can automatically sense the sound format and even do it manually with the right stick button press. And how hard is it to write this code:

Sense audio format

If sound input equals Dolby, then turn on Dolby Atmos headphone.

If sound input equals DTS then turn on DTS Headphone X.

If some input equals LPCM then turn on Windows Sonic.

If sound input equals other (things like two track sound, and post-decoded headphone audio recordings) then put on uncompressed stereo.

How hard is it to make a fifth option with that code mentioned above?
