    Why isn't the regular Minecraft playable even with the separate Preview build?


    Hello. I am having problems with launching the regular version of Minecraft. I have a preview version that is separate from the main game, but ever since I got it, I wasn't able to play the main game. When I tried going to the store to see what was going on, it showed that the regular version of minecraft was not playable on my device (Xbox Series X). I tried going to insider hub to unenroll from the program, but it is no longer showing there and the huge problem with this situation is that I can play with my friends like I want to. What should I do to fix this?

    That's the problem. No matter how many times I go to the insider hub, it doesn't show the option unenroll from the Minecraft Preview. The option to do that is gone.

    If the prior solution is not working as what some other users also reported, you can follow the steps below:

    1. Make sure that your console is connected to the internet and that you have the latest version of the Xbox Insider Hub app installed. You can check for updates by going to My games & apps > See all > Manage > Updates.

    2. Try unenrolling from a different device, such as a Windows 10 PC or an Android phone. You can download the Xbox Insider Hub app from the Microsoft Store or the Google Play Store. Sign in with the same account that registered for the Minecraft Preview and follow the same steps as on your console. See: How Do I Join (and Leave) Minecraft Preview? | Minecraft Help

    3. Try resetting your console to factory defaults. This will erase all your data and settings, so make sure you back up your games and apps before doing this. To reset your console, go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console. Choose Reset and keep my games & apps if you want to keep your installed games and apps, or Reset and remove everything if you want to start fresh.

    We have found an official article that outline what to do in opting out from the Minecraft Preview. Here are steps provided by the article:

    • Open the Xbox Insider Hub app and unenroll from Minecraft Preview.
    • Uninstall Minecraft.
    • Hard reset the Xbox console by holding down the power button until the console turns off, wait 10 seconds, and then turn the console back on.
    • Reinstall Minecraft from the Ready to Install section of Games & Apps.

    That option is currently available to all. There is no separate Preview Build at the present moment in time. The next Preview Build is expected in late May or early June.
