Why isn't my gamertag allowed?

Hey

For awhile I've been wanting to change my gamertag to "" but when I go to check for the availability then the couldn't change because someone else has the gamertag or it's not allowed. I went to go search if there was a person with the user but couldn't find one. Why is this name not allowed?

I checked both ways (with spaces and no spaces) and no results came up once more.

Thank you for the suggestion, however it didn't work. i just got the same message as last time. Do you have any other suggestions?

Well I advice to try changing the characters like ë instead of e or ż instead of z. Sometimes changing a character allows us to use some gamertags!

A Gamertag that isn't allowed means that the system has detected a possible violation of the code of conduct or you are using a character that it's unsupported

Remember that the system doesn't count spaces. So "gamertag" and "G A M E R T A G" would be considered the same tag. If it's saying someone already has it there is nothing you can do and support will not be able to change it manually.
