    Why isn't my custom Xbox One controller under warranty anymore?


    I haven't done anything to void the warranty, and from what I understand, the warranty is 120 days. I got this controller for my birthday, July 30th. A few weeks ago I checked the warranty when trying to get a replacement RB (as mine rarely works), and thought
    all would be fine after ordering one. I have yet to have gotten anything, any communication about it, the part itself, etc, and when trying to go through and do it again, it said I no longer had a warranty on it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Microsoft is pretty strict on warranty periods. You can try to call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and see if a customer rep can help you -- the worst that can happen is that they say "no".

    Basically, if it isn't under warranty time anymore, you're pretty much on your own.

    You'll have to attempt to repair it yourself (at your own risk) or just outright buy a new controller.

    You would have to do it yourself or order a specially customized one. There are few companies that take official Xbox 360 wireless controllers and let you order them with custom features. Different colored paint jobs, different color LED lights under the
    guide button, even extra lights under the buttons.

    Only thing is what they do voids the MS warranty so any warranty will be with the company selling you a customized controller.

    For the price though I would get a controller that adds more practical features like the Razer Sabertooth. Really great controller and the build quality is better than the official 360 controllers in my opinion.

    I updated the firmware on the controller but no help. I went to the manage devices and since it is the controller not the system, do I just select other and fill out description? It says that the xbox is still under warranty but the controller isn't, I thought
    the one year warranty covered everything in the box?
