ES VI isn't even announced yet, and will likely be on the newest consoles only because the current 360 and PS3s will be obsolete by then.

ESO is a massive online multiplayer, with all players in one massive open world server for the most part, which the 360 and PS3 cannot handle.

I actually think this is a highly underrated, very good game. Perfect, no, flaws, yes, but a good game and a great experience? Certainly is.

    .

The voice acting and dialogue is generally good and funny... it's engaging because it's possible to relate to and humourous and I enjoy it quite a lot. Gameplay, fine, quests are a little fetchy but fine, environments are fantastic, story is pretty good...
I like it! Why Isn't Elder Scrolls VI going to be on the Xbox 360 :p

    .

"The empire of Myrtana is in turmoil: The power-hungry king has set out to conquer the southern islands - no matter the cost. In these troubled times you suddenly find yourself ub the middle of civil unrest and war - all centered around a mysterious, ancient
power. Through a twist of fate you have been granted insight into the source of this power... but what now?

    .

That's the write up on the case back.

RPG released in 2010, and it's graphics and controls match for what was par for that time frame. We've seen better in recent years, but it's good compared to much of the crap out there.

When it initially released, it boasted a new weather pattern system, which sounded cool at first, but is just a timed cycle of it going from sunny to rainy and back. Cool, but not super fancy and technical.

Story is good, flow is decent, exploring is good.

My only gripe in gameplay is travelling. There is no sprint capability, and the teleport system the game uses is a system of one to one teleport pads, so you can't use them to just go anywhere easily.

    .

As far as RPG fare, I would give it a 7/10 or 8/10.

    Ha ha.

It appears the games on demand version is a 2013 re-release simply titled ArcaniA, with the Gothic 4 part cut out.

It is, yes. It's a little dated but it's pretty solid as an experience. I quite like it. You may also consider checking out Lost Odyssey if you haven't already played it and you do like JRPGs. It's far better than Final Fantasy X-2 and upwards.

  10. Thanks, that was what I was wondering about since I got Gothic 4 and it was a demo. Thus Arcania with the free content is complete? There is another add-on in the marketplace. I think I will try this one, too. BTW, Lost Odyssey is one of my very favorite
    games.

probably the best game to compare arcania to is KoA. thats the closest thing to compare and get an idea of the game design and how it plays. i bought the complete tale on PS3 since the local gamers had it for $2 more than the normal version for 360. i keep
seeing lost odyssey at the rental store, but ive never been a big JRPG fan. another game that seemed quite underrated that i played recently was hunted: demon forge. its about as linear as games get, but it is quite a fun game. basically you get what is on
your back for weapons and equipment and can switch between the 2 characters at certain times in the game. both people have special abilities to help explore levels, but luckily you dont need to be the other person to use their ability.

  12. Duck, in addition to the stories of the immortals in Lost Odyssey, I liked to complexity of the skill system. Yes, eventually you get everything but you have some real choices to make in who and how you train your team since the immortals learn differently
from the regular humans. You don't complete your roster for the team until you are well into the game either. The story behind the immortals becomes engrossing as well. As for Arcania, if it is similar to KoA that's a recommendation in itself.

[/quote]interesting. i may have to give it a try then. like i said, its always caught my eye when im in renting movies or a game, but just never had a real desire to play it. i think eventually ill start from A and play through to Z lol. and yes, its VERY
similar to KoA (though i think arcania was first lol) but a lot of the game mechanics are very similar. its like a less cartoony KoA if you will lol. im not sure what the demo is compared to the actual game though, but if you like KoA, id highly recommend
    arcania.

They are similar in the fact that they are both RPGs, but there's a lot more about them that are different. Playing both of them right now.

Dragon's Dogma is similar categorically as well, but is lesser in overall game, but better looking and better in mechanics.

I also highly recommend Two Worlds and Two Worlds II as far as RPGs to hit up.

Dragon Age is another RPG series, but I hated the first one.

Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga is another one I highly recommend for your RPG Fantasy library.

    .

Avoid the Risen series at all costs.

i couldnt play two worlds or dragon age for more than 10 mins. havent given TW2 a go though. categorically, yes, DD and arcania are similar, but DD is a much deeper game than arcania is. and why i said arcania and KoA are similar is because they seem to
share A LOT of the same game mechanics. inventory, crafting, world, dungeons, even the fighting and skill point distribution are similar, though you get deeper fighting mechanics in KoA like juggling. but even the magic aspect is similar. fire burns, ice slows
down enemies, and lightning can paralyze for a few seconds. thats what i meant by they are similar, what to expect going into the game if youve already played KoA. is there a divinity 3 out? i thought i saw something with the name
