    Why is Xbox support such trash?


    Can we talk about how you have to jump through 10,000 hoops to get a generic reply about any issues with Xbox hardware, or accounts?

    I'm on my like 4th account I've spent money on because password recovery was awful, and I just got a Xbox One Digital Only for Christmas, and it freezes all the time, and the store and home ui is slow, and the beta program app crashes because it's not responsive.

    A simple *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** email listed on a Microsoft site would fix the former issue, and would have probably allowed the latter to be solved by now, but I had to make a forum account and post to the community because Microsoft is apparently too busy messing up
    Windows and Mixed reality to have a support email for Xbox, and too frugal to hire a few entry level technicians to reply to them for minimum wage.

    And watch, once I hit submit this message will probably "have to be approved by a moderator" and then ever seen by anyone.

    As you are looking for a Microsoft employee, you will need to contact them through the above contact link. If you don't see the option for chat or phone, change your category and topics until you are given the option. Typically billing options will always
    give those.

    Since you're not looking for "gamer" responses, I'll go ahead and lock this.

    That phone number is no longer used as a direct connection to support. It'll redirect you to the contact us site http://support.xbox.com/contact-us where you can chat with
    support or request a call back.

    Support discontinued the email several years ago. However, even when they had one it was typically a lot of blanket responses and most of the type they told you to contact support for more personalized assistance.

    So one of the most advanced companies in the world can't resolve problems using asynchronous communication, and has to stick the problem suffering person on hold for 2 hours before being put on the phone with someone they can barely hear and understand
    - who is just going to say "Try turning it off and back on again" and than probably get disconnected, and y'all think this is acceptable?

    I tried filling out the contact-us forum, and it gave me the option of posting here or asking a [mod removed] gamer.

    Yes, I have an attitude at this point, because I've been trying to get a reply to at least one of my problems by an actual Microsoft employee for almost a [mod removed] month.

    And whats this "write down your username/pass" [mod removed]? Anyone who has ever worked with a computer knows you're not suppose to do that. This is why I am looking for employee responses and not "gamer" responses. I'll probably get told to "wash my Xbox"
    or something if I post my actual problem on here.

    Or you could write down your email and password, after the 2nd time i would have to make an account, i would've figured i was doing something wrong, there's also several redundant password recovery tools that they urge you to use, with multiple different
    types of recovery, phone number verification, security questions, secondary email, etc, it sounds alot to me like you aren't utilizing the tools given to you and just blaming xbox. when i submit a ticket i usually get a response within 24 hrs, the only time
    they push tickets down in priority for a later date is if the person submitting the ticket is coming out guns blazing w a bad attitude, there's also the option of 1-800 4my-xbox, in which you don't have to wait for a reply, you simply have your issue dealt
    with on the phone, I really don't think xbox has a problem here, they have multiple redundancies of everything to makes things easier, try getting help on steam, i guarantee you'll be praising xbox within a week

    Why is Xbox & Microsoft support so trash?

    Well some of the things are simply straight forward. The answer will pretty much be the same, in however way you put it.

    With gamertags, as much as many of them are taken, there's still more than a thousand available to select from.

    With Xbox bans, they're instantly and there is nothing anyone in this forum can do about it as we do not have any access to any account details or any other personal information.

    Finally, no one in this forum works on implementing bans.
