Why is xbox one x so slow

i got a xbox one x used but looks brand new. I used to have a xbox one mfg date 2013, it runs a lot faster than the xbox one x i got why is that? I added a external 1tb ssd and have a better wifi connection 190mbs dl, 12 upl, 10-25 ping, The xbox one x really loads slow. I have reset the console several times that didn't help either. Just about all my games are in the cloud or on my external ssd . I have read that there's been a lot of people complaining about it being slow. If there's a magic fix let me know. Im sure glad that i didn't spend the money for a brand new one and it be slow. I might go back to the og xbox one

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your console. I have had each generation of Xbox One console and although they do each have their pros and cons I did find the One X a speedy console when I was using it. I still have the console but use my Series X now.

The One X does run faster than previous generations of the console. If you've tried doing a full factory reset deleting everything from the console and that still hasn't helped then I'm afraid the console may have had a previous issue that was there before it was sold.

If the console is very slow and you're still having issues with it I would recommend returning it for an exchange

I have an Xbox One X, not the Xbox One X Scorpio edition and mine isn't slow or clunky. I think they made so adjustments to the Xbox One X after the Scorpio edition came out.

so downloaded update took 2 mins now I'm installing it taken 45 mins to do 60% any Idea why the download was about 400mb I don't understand why its so slow I have Xbox one x if that matters anything I can do to resolve this.

It's always been slow on my X even compared to the day one original One. I could never figure out why.

My problem is that the game is really slow and that's why it's not fun at all, but I remember that the game was smoother on the ps4 version. It seems that ray tracing is active in the game and that's why the game runs slowly, but there is no such option in the settings.

Not sure where you've got that information from. There is no Ray Tracing in RDR2, it's not been optimised for Series X|S either. It was only developed to take advantage of the now older Xbox One X. The Series X runs the One X version of the game, but it's still only 30fps though.

If you've been playing lots of smooth 60fps games and then load up RDR2 it's bound to feel slow in comparison.
