why is xbox one elite controller so expensive ?

It's all about what you prefer and how much you want to optimize your controller. For me i definitely prefer the Elite Series controller for many games. It is a bit on the pricy side, but personally i think they are worth it.

The Elite controller (or maybe the Elite V2) are easily the best controllers, but they're also expensive. The new Kait edition Xbox One controller looks fantastic too, so I'd say go with that if you don't want to fork out for an Elite controller.

Then other people would like other things too I guess, thats why there is an elite controller. The 1st one isn‘t that expensive.

Personally I do not recommend even an elite control, since these have the same quality of the mechanical components of a normal control, that is why they decompose so quickly, they do have configurations that make the game a new experience but I do not
think that such an expense is necessary expensive if you love so fast
