  1. Why is Xbox Live so Hostile to its Customers?

Rarely use Xbox Live, Credit card linked to my account is expired, so Auto Renew failed.

I would like to use Xbox Live, so need to renew my account. No problem, I buy a prepaid card.

NOPE, not good enough for Microsoft. You can't use a prepaid card in this situation. From Microsoft:

Prepaid codes cannot be consumed or activated if the user has billing violations or their payment
instrument is in decline. The user must first remove any violations before utilizing a prepaid code.

I'm in "violation?" This is just another example of a company not interested in providing a service and having its customers pay for it, but instead is interested in collecting "breakage" from its customers.
So I now use the site to determine how to disable Auto Renewal. It tells me to select "My Account," then "Subscriptions" then click into the subscription for which I want to disable Auto Renewal and that option will be there.
Except what do you know, when I click Subsciptions, the only options Microsoft gives me is to buy a subscription. No disable Auto Renewal option.
The whole game is a joke. Oh and I haven't even mentioned the multiple error messages that show up throughout this process, which Microsoft's own error assistance page can't recognize. Seems Microsoft has no problem generating error codes while the screw
you but then can't even tell you that those error codes mean.

    :)

  2. **** enforcement internment camp

It is a violation of the Code of Conduct to send profane messages through the Xbox Live service, regardless of context or however long you've been with Xbox Live.
This includes sending hostile messages, especially as a response to another hostile message.

Actually, mobs are 'living' and moving game entities. They can be affected by things that the player is affected by. They are not just hostile. In fact, 'mob' stands for mobile, which is why there are different variations of them, such as passive and hostile
    to neutral and others.

It's up to you to turn off auto-renewal before your subscription is set to renew or keep your payment methods up to date. That is not Microsoft's fault. Since they have been unable to charge your account for it's renewal, you now have a balance you must
pay off before you can use a prepaid card or get back online. If you can't manage your payment method on the website, you would need to contact support directly to speak to billing. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

Yes, you are in "violation" you agreed to pay them monthly and you failed to uphold your end of the agreement, therefore you violated the agreement you made. If you waited this long then most likely you can't turn off the subscription because it's been
canceled for non-payment. If you contact support they can probably clear that up for you. The errors on the website aren't in the error code database because the database is for the console, not the website.

This isn't Microsoft being hostile, this is Microsoft expecting it's customers to uphold their end of the bargain, you failed to do so.

    Microsoft hostile to loyal customers?

I think that MS seriously needs to get their act together and sort this out.. it says with SMALL print on one of the sides of the box that the One X comes in "An adapter is required to connect the Xbox one Kinect sensor to the Xbox one (X) (available separately)..
Only problem is that it is no longer available as from what I understand MS has discontinued the adaptor along with the Kinect sensor.. I know that at some point MS added a not so clearly visible information to this fact in their advertising.. In my opinion
this should have been stated a lot more clearly, The issue of adapter for Kinect compatibility should have been sorted out for the launch of the One X, as I can't that they where not aware of their own plans to discontinue it and encourage early adopters/upgraders
that wished to continue using the Kinect with the One X to order an adapter along with their pre-order.. Ideally I wish the could have extended the same deal to us who chose to upgrade from the Xbox one to the One X as they did for the upgraders to the One
S... But at least they could let us have the possibility to pic one up at a reasonable price!

As you say FindableGlint48 the adapter is sold out everywhere, and is only available at places like EBay and similar, at what i call "blackmail prices" that alone should tell M$ that there clearly is a market for the adapter even if the might not be one
    for the Kinect sensor itself!

I say that Micro$oft should be ashamed of themselves for pulling the rug from under the feet of their customers like they have done with the Kinect sensor adaptor, and that they should seriously consider putting the adapter back in production for at least
long enough for those of us that upgraded to the Xbox One X to get the Kinect sensor that we paid for either bundled with the console or bought separately!
