    Why is Xbox Enforcement Robbing Me With Such Impunity?


    Let me begin by saying that MIcrosoft's support is a very very bad joke, because jokes are supposed to make you laugh. This one makes you scream and sigh.

    I have owned a 360 for so long I can't even remember how long it has actually been, but my tenure on my Live account says the number six, so let's start there.

    I've been a loyal customer to Microsoft for so long, I've bought so many things from the Live Marketplace, so many games. I've paid for my service ever since I've been paying using the monthly plan. This means I've been wasting money when I could have bought
    yearly and saved, all this for convenience in case I wanted to just not pay anymore after any month. The customer should have the choice to do that and should not be scolded for not "being smart and saving money." Oh well, big whoop, that's why we pay our
    money, for choice.

    Being a gamer and a young man now, I've done my fair share of crap-talking on Xbox, not using the famed word for SUCH fear of being abused and discredited by Microsoft over such a minute thing. I've been communications banned many a time before, all of these
    times were just and in the scope of reason. I was guilty and ate my aforementioned bans. In fact, my last rightful ban was in early September, it lasted until the 22nd, boy it sucked but at least I knew I was wrong and deserved it.

    Now it is October 12th, and not a few weeks after being unbanned I was BANNED YET AGAIN on the 8th around 9:00 PM eastern time. Supposedly until the 24th, which is after my service runs out, basically half of my service, chatting with people, is now gone.
    I paid full [Mod removed - Profanity]price for it to get half of the service now.

    This brings me to the reason, oh yeah, what reason you ask? Well, I am not the Lord and cannot say what exactly got me banned, but the best I can muster is my use of the word "buffoon" in response to clear wrongful usage of public lobbies, after being kicked
    again and again out of public lobbies on OF: Dragon Rising by people just looking to play with one person, yet opening public lobbies. This was three different people I think, and I only called one a buffoon and called another a wannabe slickster, and in another
    I messaged I used the acronym [Mod removed - See Forum Guidelines] in my message. No full curse words, no nothing of that nature, no extreme abusive language, no mom jokes, nothing. I was actively trying to be a pleasant person, even if the
    other person was clearly wrong and deserved to be reprimanded. Who am I to say someone deserved to be reprimanded? Nobody, common sense says so. I challenge anybody to check my messages, that is how confident I am in my innocence.

    That was it, that was all I can imagine got me banned by some shmuck at Xbox Live enforcement who saw these messages and saw fit to ban me for the remainder of the service I PAID FOR WITH MY HARD-EARNED MONEY. Who hires these, and DARE I SAY IT, buffoons!?
    This is abuse, plain and simple. The appeal process is CLEAR ABUSE and BELITTLING OF CUSTOMERS. First of all, the questionnaire that filters people out of even applying for a case review in the first place is broken and to top it off it treats the applicant
    like a toddler or something, so much so that it feels offending to peoples' intelligence with the questions, WOW. Makes the enforcement team look like a bunch of power loving abusers, seriously, that is the impression an intelligent person gets when going
    through the process. I don't call myself intelligent lightly. Then, when I thought the worst was over, I GET A FREAKING 1000 character LIMIT to explain my problem. WHAT KIND OF A JOKE IS THAT? What? Xbox enforcement doesn't like reading anything too "intensive?"
    And even worse is that IF SOMEONE IS INDEED INNOCENT, HOW ARE THEY MEANT TO EXPLAIN SUCH A COMPLICATED TOPIC SUCH AS THEIR INNOCENCE IN 1000 LETTERS???? HOW? I don't know how I can even handle this, but applying for a case review feels like DEFUSING A BOMB.
    I've been locked out applying two or three times now. First because I was writing a letter and in the middle of it I couldn't write anymore, so in deleting the text I hit a wrong button or something and it locked me out for 24 hours. Wow... Then, I was in
    the questionnaire and the questions DECEIVED ME. One question was about if it was okay to put religious references in the gamertag, I put false, assuming this would be the answer. (this was after getting three other BS questions "wrong.") It says it's wrong
    and then in the same token says it's right what my answer was. ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING! Locked out again for 24 hours. Then enforcement says not to threaten anyone at their office or something when writing the letter, though after seeing all this nonsense I
    can't see how anyone could resist giving these fools a piece of their mind. AS A PAYING CUSTOMER. All for them to fall back and say some BS like "well, it's our terms of service," as if banning someone for using the word buffoon to insult another person is
    somehow morally correct when little kids say all kinds of debauchery and get away with it, much like how I did when I was a little kid playing M rated games. Now I can't even say something remotely offensive without some cretan reporting me and then XBOX LIVE
    ENFORCEMENT thinking the same way they do. LOL It's not my fault I'm great at dismantling people with my insults and arguments, then they get their feelings all in a twist to report me for the word "buffoon" or simply telling them to make a private game with

    Before I even tried to apply I tried to call XBOX Live, couldn't find A

    NUMBER ANYWHERE. I finally found a Microsoft support number from FREAKING WASHINGTON and I'm in NEW JERSEY. Spoke to a guy called Max and he told me that Microsoft got RID OF THE XBOX LIVE NUMBER A MONTH OR SO AGO! He then
    told me to go to the virtual support on the website, my only recourse. Right now as I sit on my toilet after a long day of work I am waiting in some messed up "queue" that keeps putting people ahead of me, almost as if someone keeps skimming my problem and
    ignoring me in preference to something more simple. It's ridiculous. I just WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER!!! But I can't in fear of someone answering and then clicking off when I don't answer because I'M BUSY!! It's been four DAYS OF ME TRYING TO GET HELP FROM ANYBODY
    AFTER KNOWING I DID NOTHING TO RECEIVE PUNISHMENT. FOUR DAYS OF ME EATING A BAN. I said no, I won't get screwed by Microsoft out of my money anymore. I resolved to quit Xbox Live on the 24th of October and move to PSN, this nobody can change even if MC bought
    me a house. I'm sorry, you won't get a [Mod removed - Profanity] cent from me anymore. Learn how to treat your loyal loving customers with respect and COMMON COURTESY instead of treating them like peasants and banning them for nothing. I know
    it means nothing to Xbox Live enforcement because to them banning or "disciplining" someone like they're a kid is just a button press. They don't think about how much work went into paying for that service or what struggles the customer goes through on a daily
    basis. They don't care from the comfort of their office with their air conditioners. What's more sad is how Microsoft is a multi-million dollar company(probably even more) and can't or just doesn't care about giving proper customer service, NO, instead they
    TAKE away customer service, vital things like a PHONE NUMBER TO CALL A REAL HUMAN AGENT. The support chat is a JOKE, it's abuse. CLEAR ABUSE.

    This took a full thirty or so minutes to write, and guess what? STILL NOT ANY RESPONSE ON THE SUPPORT CHAT, this is after me reloading it and trying again with something more appealing than my problem being "Getting robbed by Xbox Live Enforcement" and waiting
    about an hour watching the line jump up and down. I tried to put "Unjust communications ban." Still waiting.

    I'm sure somebody out there will say my ban was justified. I don't even care about these people, they clearly have not a moral bone in their body and aren't even worth the time of day. Same to those that want to use the "terms of service" as an argument.
    First of all, nobody reads those, nobody. Maybe some nerdy guy who has all day in his mom's basement. Second, this is a MORAL issue, not some mathematical equation. Get a grip. The law can and has been wrong before. Quit using it as the all-encompassing God
    when it's convenient and someone says something that makes sense and your arrogant self doesn't want to hear.

    All I ask is to be unbanned for the remainder of my time on Xbox Live so that I may talk to my friends and message people, so that I may cooperate with people in my games. PSN is free and I'm sure it has better customer service than Microsoft, it's tremendously
    sad. Microsoft may be offended by my perspective and not help me at all, or they may help me and finally give me closure. In any case, they won't get another penny off of me. Thanks for reading my work if you did, hope you felt the rage I did.

    P.S. I spoke to Xbox Support chat once on this four day period, the people there said I WAS RIGHT TO BE FRUSTRATED but unfortunately they couldn't do anything because it wasn't their department. So why call it Xbox "SUPPORT" chat? You can't even help me....

    Thank you for voicing your concerns. Unfortunately, not reading the terms of use doesn't justify breaking the rules. The Enforcement team does not monitor or respond to forums posts either. Your best bet would be to continue trying to qualify for a case
    review on the Enforcement website.

    I understand the frustration of not knowing why you were suspended specifically. Just know that The Code of Conduct has no statute of limitations, and users may be enforced upon at any time for past offenses.
