    Why is Xbox charging taxes


    I just got a question I have a ps4 and I have a ps3 and at one time as Ps vita with those consoles I have bought digital stuff and was never charge any taxes on anything I recently started playing Xbox 360 and now the Xbox one does anyone know why
    Microsoft is charging taxes for well the playsstation does not any help would be helpful thanks I live in new Brunswick Canada

    Why does the Xbox online store charge tax for the digital games? I was pleasantly surprised when I purchased The Last Of Us from the PSN store and found out that Sony doe NOT charge tax on digital purchases from it's store. So why does Microsoft

    Xbox Store Tax ? Why

    Sony charges Sales tax on PSN. You just don't get charged where you live.

    They are just late to the game I guess. Everything sold in Canada has to have a tax put on it, even your local garage sale. Yes used goods as well.

    What is the tax rate in your country? Taxes are charged on all purchases. That is why the amount taken from your account was 10.39 and not 9.99.

    The Microsoft Store will, but they charge tax. Im not sure why the option isnt there on amazon though, I guess only certain items can be. Itd be nice though since the dont charge any tax in my state.
