    Why is to so damn hard to install a game through Game Pass on PC?! Getting stuck at...


    Why is it so hard to actually use Game Pass on PC? Why do I have to stuff around for HOURS to figure out what I need to do to get a game to install? Why do I have to try putting commands into Powershell in the hopes that my downloads will progress past "Preparing"? This is a pathetic excuse for a game launcher and Microsoft should be embarrassed. I have been trying to download AOE4 and this TERRIBLE experience means I will never actually pay money for it. Piracy is starting to look like a better option because at least it will actually work!

    I used to recommend Game Pass to all of my friends. Why would I do that when I know they will almost certainly have issues just installing games when we can use a launcher like Steam THAT ACTUALLY ****ING WORKS.

    Try this: Go to Windows settings >> Apps >> Xbox >> Advanced >> Repair & Reset.

    After doing that, do the same for Gaming Services and Microsoft Store as well.

    Thanks for coming to the forums. When you try and install the game, are you using the Beta app or trying to install directly from the store. When you say you pre-ordered the game, have you paid for the game completely, or getting it through game pass? If
    you are getting through game pass do you have ultimate game pass, or game pass for PC? Let us know these details so we can help you out better.

    Windows 10 Minecraft Download Problem

    Since Minecraft is not a Play Anywhere title you would have to purchase the Windows 10 version in order to play it on the PC even though you own it for the Xbox. They are considered different. Same reason as to why it won't install through Game Pass since
    Games Pass is primarily for the console and only games that are also Play Anywhere titles can be downloaded and played on the PC through Game Pass.

    That game was only added to Game Pass for console. So you can play it through the cloud on PC as long as you have Ultimate, but it's not available for install on the PC.

    PC Games are in "Xbox Game Pass" but aren't in "Xbox Game Pass PC"

    Games like Borderlands 2 or Minecraft can be install if I had a xbox one but to PC I can't (xbox game pass PC) !! Why ?!

    Tve Xbox Game Pass from console its different from the Xbox Game Pass on PC!

    Some games are exclusive for console and others for PC.

    Btw remember tha Xbox Game Pass on PC it's just started, so you will see more and more games will be add on Game Pass.
