Whys this keep happening?

Nothing wrong with your computer or internet, this website itself has been broken for along time and everyone gets these errors from time to time. Last summer they updated the look of the website and it's been riddled with glitches since, they just can't
be asked to fix it.

Yeah thats the answer im sure he was looking for. To OP, there is quite a few people with this issue on these forums and I wish I could help you out further than telling you to call 1-800-4my-xbox. I would call and place a complaint if I were you.

if all information on the account is still valid and up to date, also check the Status page and if needed the security-activity page

After that try the following steps:

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

If that doesn't fix the issue then it might be best to try the following steps

1. Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)
   
2. Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

3. Redownload your profile

Does your console have a Kinect and did you set it up to sign in "automagically"? Maybe a different person went in front of the Kinect, signing that person in, and that caused the console to change the profile status.

Or maybe you have your account on a second console that just went online.

But if you want to make sure that everything is okay with your profile, go to
https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage and check that your security information (i.e. secondary email, phone numbers) are correct and up to date, and that you have Two Step Verification enabled and a phone Authenticator app set up properly.
