Why is there no way to get money back for Gold subscription?

On Jan 1 my 3 month auto renewal activated. I didn't realize that it was going to activate on the first since I had not started the auto renewal on the first of a month initially. I logged on Jan 2 to cancel the auto renewal and redeem a 12 month code
I got for Christmas. However, after much searching online and in my account details, there was no way to cancel my auto renewal subscription that was literally less than 48 old and get my $25 back. Why is this Xbox??

This is NOT a problem with how to cancel my auto renewal feature. I just want a way to get my money back since it was within a very short time after it renewed. It's ludicrous that a technology company cannot return funds from a transaction if it's within
a certain time window. Also the only way to contact any tech support is through that infuriating automated online support chat.

I have a gold membership on my account for my xbox 360 but I no longer use my xbox is there a way to get is refund or get any money back form it

Anyway... There was a Button. And in Gold letters: Free vor Gold members.. That is the Problem i want my Money back. It can Not ne right if i press the Button on the website i buy the Game vor the Film Price. They cant Tell lies on the Website. No problem
if i dont own the Game anymore but 35€ is much money for me.

Is there any way to get my money back?

Since it's still within the first 30 days you should be able to contact support and speak to billing for a refund. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

Thanks for the info. I couldn't find a phone number anywhere on their site. I called and the rep was able to cancel the pending (hadn't cleared my bank yet) auto renewal transaction. Thank you very much.

I'll give you an example of why this May happen.

Say you purchased a monthly recurring gold subscription but when the next month came along you did not have money on your card for the subscription to renew.

MS will then let your subscription to continue while trying to continue to charge the card if MS was not able to get the money for the subscription when the second month comes along they will suspend your subscription until it is paid IF for some reason
MS can not finally get the monthly for the subscription they will ban the payment option from being used.

Unfortunately once a payment option is banned there is no way to get it unbanned.

I had to call Microsoft support to find out that you cant use money in the account to purchase Live Gold subscription. There is no warning, announcement, or accountability to prevent people from paying money on the Microsoft account in order to get a Gold
subscription. This is UNACCPETABLE. I cant get a refund, I cant get Gold, I just got ripped off like others have in the past! This needs to be fixed with a warning, or allow Gold to be bought in this way.
