    Why is there certain gamertag's that are not in use but you cannot set as your Gamertag?


    I would like to know why please and if we will all be able to change are gamertags to them later on in the future. I have searched up one of the gamertags on my phone and it said the profile did not exist why is that? and is there a way I can get the gamertag?
    I was thinking of starting a new account named the account I wanted and get Xbox live for it and see if it worked.

    Hello,

    Sorry but those codes cannot be exchanged for codes in your region. This is why certain items are only sold in certain regions.

    Wish there was a way to exchange them but there isn't.

    Is your gamertag's region set to Canada or another country? If it is then perhaps the movie just is not available where you are.

    The gamertag system is in use on other Microsoft services as well. So even if they're not being used on Xbox, they can be in use somewhere else. Also, the system doesn't see things like spaces as making a gamertag unique. So even if you look it up one way,
    it may be in use with different spaces.

    If the system says a tag is in use, then it's in use. There is no way for you to take it.

    Is your account not set up for Russia? If not then that will be why you cannot use the card. All your personal info must match the info for your gamertag.
