    Why is the Xbox using 500-800GB a month now?


    For the last 2 months Xbox has been taking us over our bandwidth usage cap. It is now using 500-800 GB a month and has never done that before. I’ve identified all devices on my network. Help

    Hello Cheryl, as mentioned above it could be due to streaming 4k content, or if you have uninstalled games that are big and reinstalled again.

    If you leave your Xbox on standby for automatic updates it may be updating your games while it's off.

    if you are streaming a lot of 4k content on youtube, netflix and other services and also downloading games then usage will be high, if not then there is no possibility of the xbox using that amount of data.

    Hello Hugo,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. If you go to storage on the far right it will say how many GB free out of another number. If the number is around 750-800GB it is a 1TB the 200 GB used is for system files. If it says around 300Gb it is
    a 500 GB hard drive.
