Why is the Xbox One OS buggier than the Xbox 360's and why isn't it being fixed?

Doesn't it seem like the Xbox One was rushed to market and we are basically testing it and finding a bunch of bugs, which they still haven't fixed more than a year after launch? I don't remember the Xbox 360 having as many issues with basic functionality
a year after launch as the Xbox One still seems to have.

Half of the time my party chat or my friends' party chat doesn't work... There are problems retrieving messages... I get errors saying unable to perform that action right now... These problems happen at least 4 to 5 times in the span of an hour, maybe more
depending on how much I'm using those services. I don't know if it's Xbox Live or the console OS that isn't working properly, but regardless, there weren't nearly as many issues with the Xbox 360 as there are with this console.

Shouldn't these things have been worked out before the release of the console? How much was spent on testing the Xbox One? Why are we essentially paying to beta test the OS for the Xbox One?

Can you imagine if Boeing sold their new Dreamliner commercial airliner to United Airlines without ironing out all the bugs from their flight software? Do you think United Airlines would be okay with Boeing just saying "Don't worry, if your pilots find
any bugs while they're flying our jets, we'll work hard to fix the issue and patch it as soon as we can". Why does Microsoft think they can just rush a console to market without properly testing it and making sure it works. I understand things may break
and need to be repaired, but I've had these problems from the first day I had the Xbox One. Unless this is within the specs of how the designers and engineers intended for their product to work for the end user. If that's the case I was sold a lie when
I read the following excerpt, unless the future of gaming that they're referring to is worse than the last gen of gaming:

Starting to get feed up with the XB1 UI

@ satsumo the lag is ALSO related to the software as well. FACT. Just like Windows 7 performs better than Windows Vista (I upgraded OS on my old PC I've tried both and when I opened Task Manager, Vista used more resources than 7). The Xbox 1 consoles hardware
is more than up to the job. But fact if you don't have a very good operating system, the hardware isn't going to perform as well as a polished very good operating system. I'm not saying the OS for Xbox 1 is bad, although it is Windows 8 styled which PC's use.
Well to be exact, a Windows kernel, Xbox OS, and hypervisor Xbox 1 has 3 operating systems.

Xbox 360's Dashboard is as much web based as Xbox 1. Xbox 1 has more Xbox Live servers worldwide than Xbox 360 (300,000 to 15,000). With Xbox 360's Dashboard there isn't THIS level of lag when loading Friends Achievements etc on the Dashboard. Loading Friends,
Achievements, etc takes at least a few seconds longer than Xbox 360 when navigating both using only the controller. Even some of my American UK Australian and NZ friends told me they've had similar experiences.

 

Nothing is more important then communication with friends as we game

I agree the social and communication side of XBL is important. XBL has been having issues the past two days especially with friends and it affects Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 and Xbox 1 smart glass too.

When XBL has issues (they're had them so far twice this year), when playing on Xbox 360, I use Game Chat that always tends to work especially when XBL Party is broken due to issues.

I also prefer the 360's UI as it's familiar and more youth friendlier than the Xbox 1's UI which many peps on here on XBL and my friends say it's simply too Windows 8 which we don't quite like about it. And it looks too grown up too compared to the 360 UI.
Probably why Xbox 1 doesn't have Voice Messages and change the Dash background is because they stuck a PC OS on an Xbox, or the Windows 8 styled UI (even thought Xbox 1 has 3 OS a windows kernel, Xbox os, hypervisor) needs to be programmed to understand what
I like to call Xbox Language. Probably why so many Xbox Live Features were missing when Xbox 1 launched.

 

You might have not been exposed to as many console updates as others to know that this fairly old hat across all platforms. Think back to the heat sync issues and the red ring of death. These practices arent all that uncommon. What is unique in this generation
is that it requires you go to them for approval before you are allowed to do anything else. No approval means, no access. Or a really expensive rock, with accessories that are just as functional.
