Why is the Xbox app still terrible and hardly ever working?

I see that you have struggled with getting your PC Game Pass games to work once they are installed. I am more than happy to provide a couple of recommended solutions that have helped other PC users struggling with installing and getting their games to open.

Solution 1: Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode; this error could also be attributed to issues with the Microsoft store not recognizing your entitlement to the game. Would you please click on this link Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode | Xbox Support. Then scroll down and click on the drop-down arrow and look at the steps for How to enable offline play on your device.

Solution 2: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. If some Windows functions aren't working or Windows crashes, use the System File Checker to scan Windows and restore your files. Sometimes corrupted files can cause issues.

Solution 3: Create a local user or administrator account in Windows . Sometimes you can have a situation with permissions or profile corruption. Please follow the steps in this link to see if that fixes the current issue.

Solution 4:

Reset the Microsoft Store

You can use the steps below to refresh the Microsoft Store which will clear the cache and refresh your library permissions. This fixes the majority of the cases.

1. Close the Windows Store app if you have it open.
   
2. Click Start and type 'WSRESET' without the quotes.
   
3. Right-click on the command and click 'Run as Administrator.' If the Windows permission box appears, click 'Yes' or 'Run.'
   
4. A black MS-Dos screen will appear for a few seconds. Please wait for it to disappear, and the Store will automatically open.
   
5. Attempt to Install the Forza title.

Ensure you have not disabled the game you are attempting to play as a background app.

1. Click the Windows button on your PC
   
2. Open Privacy
   
3. Scroll down to Background Apps on the left-hand side.
   
4. Please scroll down to the game title and select the slider to turn it ON.

Ever considered the possibility that the ad contains coding to deliberately turn xboxs on, to create headlines?

Mine hardly ever worked so I gave up on "xbox on", just use the controller.

That's from the GameFly commercial where they bash GameStop for there terrible trade rates.

But a lot of the new games hitting Xbox are like Voice features and ect Sounds interesting but to be honest I hardly ever use my Kinect...

It's been out for days and we still don't have the next gen update. This is unexcusable. Steam already has their version. Microsoft needs to get it together, hardly anything ever works.

Which ever one the working dad that hardly gets time to play is.
