Why is the Xbox app ask me for a 6 digit code or 10 digit code when I have an 8 digit code

Is says sign in and go to a link but it doesn't ask me for the 8 digit code

I have an 8 digit cod and there is only a 6 and 10 digit code box

Yeah, both are same in the same network, and I have used that method to add my Xbox to the app, but, the moment to use it to install games, and other functions of the app, it asks me for the 6 digit or 10 digit code.

There's no way to get past it other than put the code on it.

So what do I do?

Is it a 9 digit code or a 25 digit code? 9 digit codes are for microsoftstore.com. You would have to make the purchase there and it gives you the option to add a promo code during checkout. You would have to contact their customer support for issues with
entering the code.

25 digit codes are Xbox codes and would be redeemed to your account before you make a purchase.

It's a 9 digit code. When I go the Microsoft store site and try to purchase it, it brings up the store app from windows 10. There is no place to enter the 9 digit code. only the 25 digit ones
