Why is the Red Baron offensive?

About a week ago i set the Red Baron as my profile picture. It was exactly the same picture that you can see here. A few days ago i got an enforcement action and my gamerpic was banned and i couldn't set any custom gamerpic for 3 days. I visited enforcement.xbox.com
and it said that my picture was inappropriate and listed the ways how can a gemerpic be inappropriate, but didn't say in what ways was mine inappropriate. Can anyone tell me how is this world war I plane be offensive?

The only people that can answer enforcement questions for you is the enforcement team at their website enforcement.xbox.com they do not follow these forums.

My guess would be it's not the plane itself that violates the rules but the symbols on it.

If you don't know what they mean or who the Red Baron is then google World War One.

It would violate this part of the code of conduct:

Content that is controversial. For example:

Sexual, provocative, pornographic or adult content

Violent content

Controversial religious content

Anything involving notorious people or organisations

Anything involving sensitive events, current or historical

I know who the Red Baron was, i know World War One and the symbols too.

That smybol is called the iron cross and it was established in 1813 by Friedrich Wilhelm III. The germans used the iron cross as military rewards and as markings on thier military vehicles, and they even use it nowdays!

So the symbol it self is not offensive but violates the rules in the way that it involves sensitive events that happend in the past.

But i think that the case is the point of view. Because if i would set a military emblem which was used by the allies during the two world wars it won't be banned because Microsoft is american.
