Why is the download speed on xbox game bar so terrible?

you should get better than that but microsoft does have a cap as they have to keep congestion under control due to xbox live using azure and most businesses use azure and teams etc etc etc. (they gotta look after the ones who pay the most lol, that aint us gamers).

i can sometimes hit 180mbps on some days and i to get full speed with steam.

try changing your dns on the pc to googles to see if you get an increase in speed.

Solution 1:

Is the Microsoft Store still downloading apps and updates slowly? Try clearing its cache. To do that, press Windows+R to open the Run box. Then, type wsreset.exe, and select OK.

You should see a blank Command Prompt console. Wait while it clears the Microsoft Store cache.

The Microsoft Store should open automatically afterward. Check if clearing the cache helps by downloading something.

Solution 2:

1. Open the Microsoft Store and select the portrait profile to the top-right of the window.

2. Select your Microsoft Account.

3. Select Sign Out.

4. Restart your computer.

5. Open the Microsoft Store. Then, select the blank profile portrait to the top-right of the screen and sign back in.

1. Right-click the Start menu and select Apps and Features.

Guess that's why they call it a Beta. But seriously, the download speeds are terrible, and after several attempts at downloading, I am thinking ... Microsoft should inform users download speeds may be sub-optimal. Maybe I should have just invested in a
Xbox.

I also have the same issue I have Telstra nbn as of July my download speeds have on Xbox one x have been so terrible I do a wifi speed test and it gets 50mbps and on my Xbox it struggles to get above 5mbps per second for downloading games sometimes killerbyts.

The download speeds are terrible. A 1GB download takes like 3 times longer than an Xbox 1GB download
