why is the connection soooo bad!!

OP there few thing it could happen. You bad internet gear. You connection to a server that far away then you. I had prob going to a game hosted far away from united states in the past. Or it your service plan with your ISP. But you posted good numbers. So
I don't think it the last part. So it might be other two.

  2. There's too many variables to just pin the blame on one thing specifically.

Agreed! You shouldn't just put ALL the blame on your ISP company. You shouldn't just put ALL the blame on Microsoft. And you shouldn't just put ALL the blame on the game developer if they use their own servers. I have noticed tho that Xbox Live have said
the Fifa servers have been down several times due to maintenance which their partner is carrying out or something. Microsoft runs Xbox Live with availability in a wide range of countries around the world with different time zones. Some peps even some of my
friends blame their internet when it could be an issue on Microsoft's or the game developers servers, side. Although Xbox Live is an enjoyable and great service, it's not 100% perfect. Services do go down on occasions.

You can blame M if it's a game which uses M's servers instead of their own servers, and if beacons/notifications/parties/Dashboard functions don't work. But if a game developer uses their own servers instead of M's (Microsoft's), then they should get the
blame. M does take some accountability tho saying something like our partner is conducting maintenance hang in their Xbox members. ADSL Broadband speeds in general, do pass the minimum recommended internet speeds suggested by M for playing on Xbox 360/Xbox
    1. My Xbox 1 results average 7.9 down 0.9 up 100% wireless strength and no pack loss but 187-230ms ping only because I live in NZ and live a long way from the US servers. Even UK and Australia (yes the closest country to NZ) may experience a high ping result
too just because the US isn't just "down the road" from them. Even if you live in the US, it could be a ping issue simply because the server your connecting isn't just "down the road". 21st century technology isn't always going to be 100% perfect too.

@BIRD when using azure u don't connect to a server in the US there are azure buildings round the world. On titanfall I get 29ms on the west Europe server 98ms on the American server.

The problem I have been getting is when I play ghosts or battlefield on my own or with my other half then I am fine but as soon as I join my mate I lag everywhere on ghosts and battlefield

LOL. I could almost feel the glaring looks as he angrily typed that last reply to me.

meh. Your OP was nothing more than a childish rant. It provided no information that would help anyone trouble shoot your issue. You did nothing more than whine about your connection and lash out at MS. Yet you expect people to fall all over themselves and
beg to help you? Or even offer to help you? GTHO lol

Yeah I never claimed to be 'some brainy guy'... but I can say this. At least when I start having network issues (no matter if they're on my side or not) I have enough common sense to trouble shoot my own network settings. If the problem isn't there, then
I at least know enough to check the appropriate places on my Xbox and on the internet to see if there are any issues going on with MS or the games' servers. Your excuse would be? You know what, never mind... Actually, go ahead. Might be even more amusing.

Bottom line is, if you're going to come in here and post like that, then don't expect a whole bunch of friendly, sunshine and bunnies replies. If you're actually doing something other than just complaining or trolling us, then you'll definitely want to consider
revising the way you post. Doesn't take a brainy guy to get that much sorted.

I haven't come across any online connectivity issues on Xbox Live with my Xbox One as of yet. While I wouldn't discount an issue in your part of the world entirely (which would likely be temporary) I'd wager the issue is with your ISP or something to do
with your set up more than it is to do with Xbox Live.

Ranting about it here won't help you. People will just troll you for acting like a child. Go to the support forums and give them a detailed breakdown of what your problems are and what your setup is, etc. You will unlikely get any satisfactory resolution
    here.

Oh, and EA servers are notoriously poor.

why is the connection soooo bad!!

Hi. My Xbox 1 connection averages around 7.9MB/s down 0.9MB/s up (normal speeds for ADSL Broadband Fibre Broadband is much faster) but ping is around 187 sometimes 220ms. Yes Microsoft has stated Xbox 1 has "300,000" servers worldwide compared to Xbox 360
which only has 15,000 Xbox Live servers worldwide. It's probably because
Microsoft is an American company and you have to connect to the US servers thus this would explain the high ping results for New Zealand, Australian and maybe UK players.
Although Microsoft has servers around the world you still have to connect in some ways to the US servers.

Regarding gaming, several game developers use their own servers.
And if that game developer has servers which are in a different country to where you live,
that may explain why you may get weak connection mainly because of Ping. ADSL Broadband averaging 7.9M/s down 0.9M/s up passes the recommended broadband speeds Microsoft recommends for playing on Xbox 1 so think the issue mainly lies with ping. If
you have less than 6MB/s down and 0.7MB/s up speeds, your ISP connection may be on the slow side. I live in NZ but still find Forza 5 Playground Virus Tag multiplayer matches lightning fast to find and get into. I'm still able to play with friends and other
people on Xbox 360 and participate in Xbox Live Parties. My ISP is Telecom NZ they're the largest telecommunications company in NZ. ISP's do offer Fibre broadband but those plans are more pricey than ADSL. Heard Microsoft is bringing (or has brought) two Xbox
Live Azure Data Centres (servers) to Australia one in Sydney the other in Melbourne. If they do or have done this, it should provide some help for connection to the servers which run on Xbox 1, for those who live in Australia and NZ.

maybe check your router, Firewall maybe blocking some ports that Xbox One needs.

Check your internet plan with your ISP. I upgraded my plan with Telus and gone from having 5 mebabytes per second downloads to 20+ megabytes per second down.

I think upgrading my router helped as well as before I was getting 40% or lower signal for wireless (dlink), bought a good linksys wireless router and my signal is around 80% now.
