    Why is the ‘a’ button not working on my Xbox controller when I use remote play on my phone...


    I have an Xbox one. The buttons works when I use it to select stuff, but once I enter Minecraft it stops working. Other buttons still work. I can move around the options and change my user, but not select play.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Do you have third-party accessories plugged into your console such as a headset, external hard drive, etc? If yes, please unplug them and then perform a powercycle on your console, and then re-launch the game. Keep the accessories unplugged.

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    Try connecting your Xbox app to your Xbox and then your controller to your phone, and using remote play I fixed it then just connected my controller back to my Xbox. It worked for me.
