Why is my xbox one download speed low?

Wi-fi is much slower than a hard wired connection.

You should always use a cable when possible

Xbox One supports up to Wifi N routers

Xbox Series support up to wireless A/C routers

It has to be the servers, had isp come check out speeds. Over 300mbs download, 30 upload. Xbox one s is barely getting 30 download, 30 upload hardwired.

I thought it was the Xbox itself, so I got a one X and speed is still low. So got a powerful console I can't use because download speeds are so low I usually lag out of games

ive been xbox one from day one and I now have an xbox one s and I always experience this problem, you get the right speeds the xbox just always shows a speed that goes up and down, im not sure why it does it but it does, if you are actually experiencing
low speeds I recommend clearing your alternate mac address, some games speeds will vary due to the amount of people downloading the same game at the same time, if there are high volumes of users you will find it slower than when less are downloading it.

It could be possible somebody is (DDOSING You (Hacking you) try changing internet providers.

It is VERY VERY possible that you have very low download speed I think you have to be above 7 download speed for very little lag because my download speed is 15.80 mbps.

I don't know why your lagging this is the solution that I think try using wired. Hope this helps.

I am also getting low download speeds on the XBox 1 test, but on my PC they are normal.
