    Why is my xbox multiplayer not working while on my hotspot.


    I am currently using my phones hotspot to play a game of cod, it has worked before but for some reason the nat type is stopping me from being able to play.

    IPv4

    NAT Type: Strict
    UPnP not successful.

    I am using my iphone 15 to hotspot my series x and in the past this has worked but for some reason it doesnt work now, I've tried switching the ports as instructed by youtube and I've also tried resetting my phones network settings completley.

    I am sorry to hear that.

    Please, try clearing your MAC address.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system, then Settings.

    In the General tab, select Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address > Clear.

    Restart your console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller to open the Power Center.

    Select Restart console and then select Restart.

    (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

    Sign in to your console.

    Another user suggested I try connecting to a mobile hotspot instead of home's wireless network. Strangely, XBL worked when connected to the mobile hotspot. Why would one Xbox One (X) work on my wireless but the other (original) does not?
