    Why is my Xbox live profile on Xbox 360 not updating?


    On my Xbox 360 my profile won’t update (gamerscore, bio, location, avatar) when I earn achievements they do show up but the gamerscore doesn’t change. When I go on another Xbox live account on the same hard drive and go to friends and find my profile, all of the things are updated correctly. How do I fix this? I hope I don’t have to get a new hard drive because those are kind of hard to find nowadays… can somebody please help?

    So is Xbox Live garbage? Or is it my service provider.

    Ok, so my friend had to download an xbox live update, but the update kept restarting itself. after it finally finished, he wasn't able to get his profile to connect to xbox live.

    We've tried the following to try and fix it: Delete and re download the profile (the profile is corrupted), Clearing the system cache, Updating security proofs, and Reset the xbox 360 to factory defaults. I should probably note that we downloaded his profile
    onto my xbox 360, and it worked fine, it wasn't corrupted and it could connect to xbox live. So is this a problem with the profile or Xbox 360?

    Hello ReapingMrDeath,

    This is a known issue with the Xbox 360 Update System.

    Try deleting your profile and profile ONLY. If you do not know how to delete your profile, follow this link:

    support.xbox.com/.../delete-xbox-live-profile-from-xbox-360-console

    Remember, Your PROFILE ONLY. Absolutely do NOT, I repeat..do NOT Delete Profile and Items.

    After deleting your PROFILE ONLY re-download it and see if you are still getting the same error.

    If that does not work, you can errors that happen when trying to update by following the link I am going to provide:

    I've been trying to download my profile ever since the Heist Update came out for Xbox 360. A couple hours later, some xbox live content became unavailable, so I tried to redownload my profile because it was a suggested answer. But, it wouldn't let me download
    my profile and I kept getting this same error. This is really making me ***, as it was working around 7:00 and then broke around noon. Why is this happening, Microsoft?
