Why is my xbox 'Downloading' the games that are DISC!

HELP... lol im new to 'Xbox One (s)' - why are my games (Disc) downloading? BTW take 45min each game to download- Also, i only have 5 games (Discs) and now my 500GB is only 72GB... what am i doing wrong?

Having problem with games on demand games that are very slow downloading on high speed connection.Tell me why is it so slow for these games or buy the disc copy of each game that is shown in my status.Thanks for helping me.

I've tried downloading GTA , and it have me the error saying the disc is scrached, and then I bought another disc and it gave me the same error. I tried it on a different Xbox and it worked. Why is my Xbox not accepting the game?

 

All games this generation must be loaded to the hard drive. Welcome to today !

 

????? my last console was 'Playstation2' bahahaha ---What about 5 games using up most of my space, does that sound right? so what do i do when storage is full? can i use the 1tb portable (USB)? AND THANX FOR YOUR QUICK REPLY

 

It is quite possible that five games along with updates can use up quite a large amount of hard drive space as some games are well over 50GB in size these days.

If you don't want to delete any games it is quite east to add extra memory to the console by connecting a

suitable external drive to the console, Please note if the drive is suitable and you say yes to using it for games the drive will be formatted by the console and all existing content on the drive will get deleted.

 

You only get about 370gb of storage as about 130gb is used up for the operating system.

Unless you uninstall your games when you aren't going to be playing them for ages then an external hard drive is a must.

Most external hard drives will work as long as they are usb 3:0.

 

I upgraded to a One X from a 360 and I didn`t realise everything had to be downloaded either. And my first game install was Halo 5 and that was a whopping 107GB.

The following day I went out and bought a Seagate Xbox 2TB external HDD.

No more buying a new game and having a quick go, lol

 

so is there an advantage to having an "XBOX HDD" rather than say a 'WD HDD'?

 

It`s just a licensed external HDD that is manufactured by Seagate for the Xbox, it`s green and says Xbox on the front. They do one for the PS as well, only in blue.

You can use any external HDD as long as it is USB 3.0.

I only bought it as I managed to get it at a reduced price as I had some vouchers for the store I bought it from.
