    Why is my XBox automatically quitting active game to begin update even with these options...


    Several times my XBox has quit Fifa 21 mid game to begin an automatic system update even though I have these settings turned off in the system options.

    It's caused me DNF penalties in the game and unnecessary lost games, beginning, mid or like today, at the very end resulting in wasted hours of gameplay.

    It gives me the option to update, go offline and continue playing offline. Both of which obviously eject me from my logged in game. How is this even allowed to happen???

    Xbox Insider console updates have mandatory install by times (usually 3 AM PST/PDT the day following the update release). If you don't want to be interrupted while you play or watch videos, I recommend that you check your Guide for notifications regarding System update is available BEFORE you begin playing and then spend the ca 15 minutes updating the console before you begin your gaming or video watching session.

    We've lost your TV signal - November update

    My live tv quit working the beginning of the week. I've plugged the hdmi cable from my dvr, which is owned by Comcast, into my tv and it works perfectly. I don't know if there was an update to xbox live as I have my system set to download automatically
    but there is no reason as to why it should have stopped working. I tried resetting my video settings as well, to no avail.

    Hi Geri, and thanks for your reply, but it seems that you didn't read my post carefully enough.
    I already have automatic updates in Microsoft Store turned off.
    And I don't need active hours automatically adjusted, I see from experience that "automatically" means "wrong". I have it manually set to 9AM-3AM and this setting works fine for Windows update but not for games,
    Sorry if my reply seems rude, I just got a bill from my ISP and it's quite bigger than it should be (I have limited traffic on my plan in daytime but unlimited in nighttime, that's why it's important to me to not update the games during daytime)
