Why is my XBONE requiring 400 MB update nearly every other day.

It seems like my XBONE needs an update nearly every other day. Its getting ridiculous. Are there that many bugs being fixed? Would it be possible to just do it once a week?

I don't want to be a part of the preview program anymore due to the fact that I keep getting an Xbox update every other day and it is really frustrating, any way I can get myself out of the program please so I don't have to update my xbox 400 MB every other
day? Thanks.

Are you in the Preview Program? If so that would be the reason for so many updates.

 

Honestly I can't take the updates anymore. It's every other day now and the only way out is a factory reset which i am getting closer to doing with each new update.

 

Yeah your not the only one, I've been with the preview program for a year and I've probably had more updates in the past month then I have the entire year.

Feels like every second day its updating and yes its updating right now.

If you did sign up for the Preview Program, this is what comes with it - yes you get early access to great new updates before everyone else, but you're basically helping out in testing things before the general public does. This does include frequent updates
to fix and test things and to get your feedback to make the console and menus a better product for all of us.

Follow this link for the steps to remove yourself from the preview program, or use the steps below. Part of the preview
program is getting all the early updates, which sometimes is a lot.

1. Open the Xbox Preview Dashboard app.
2. Select Registration.
3. Under Manage flights, select Change.
   
   Note If you have more than one console in the program, you can change their statuses by usingManage other consoles.
   
4. Under Manage programs, select Remove, and then select Submit. You'll be prompted to select a reason for leaving.

Can someone add me to the preview before opting out? I'd really like to jump in. Kind of wish there was a public beta or something......
