Why is my whole Xbox struggling to work?

I’m having so many issues with my Xbox right now. First a few months ago, whenever I’d hit the home button and the screen would dim grey, and if I hit it again, it would just brighten back to normal. It hasn’t stopped doing that, sometimes it gets really bad when I’m playing games and try to clip something it never wants to open it just dims my screen and makes my game lag after. Besides that, I’ve recently downloaded a new game, and it will not stop crashing but I really want to play it. It hogs up so much of my internet. I haven’t been able to access parties, start parties, open apps such as YouTube or soundcloud, I’m just met with a black screen. Or they’ll take a really long time to open and then just crash. I’ve hard reset my Xbox. Nothing changes. It’ll work for a bit but by a half hour has passed it starts acting up again and I have to reset it. Again. Most of my time is met staring at a frozen screen. The other small portion of time is actually being able to enjoy any app i can actually manage to open and use. I’d really love some help, on what to do? I’ve only had this Xbox for a bit over a year or two and it worked perfectly for quite a while.

What's your Xbox console model?

It looks like our best option here is to perform a factory reset to remove potentially corrupted data on your console. There's an option to keep your games and apps.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

I do have it installed. Seems my whole xbox is struggling. Very slow to log in when I start BO2 getting a black screen and freeze up

The whole point of the game is that you struggle for ammo...fits the setting. Would be kinda ruined if there was loads.
