Why is my voice chat basically banned

Around the same time, I change the password to my Xbox account. My voice chat stopped working completely. It doesn’t work in video games. It doesn’t work on discord. It doesn’t work on twitch it doesn’t work on Xbox parties. I can hear people just fine, but nobody can hear me. My mic is completely banned. Controller is up-to-date. My privacy settings are where they should be an Xbox detect that I have a microphone, but there is absolutely zero signal coming through. I’ve tried a different set of headphones. I’ve tried different controllers. Nothing is working and I’m at my wits end.

I have run out of options because I have no idea what to do

I understand that you want to talk in parties but no one can hear you out.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check Privacy Settings. Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy. Ensure that communication and multiplayer options are enabled. Make sure that "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites" is set to Allow.

We are double checking in to make sure that these settings are allowed.

And then unmute yourself. In the party chat, make sure you're not muted. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, go to Parties & chats, select the party, and check if you're muted. If you are, select Unmute.

Next is to check party chat volume. Kindly press the Xbox button to open the guide, go to Parties & chats, select the party, and adjust the volume slider.

Then check audio device settings. To do this, please go to Settings > System > Audio and check your audio output settings.

After that please restart your console.

Please check your NAT type. Go to Settings > Network settings > Network > Check NAT type. It should be Open in order for party chat to work smoothly.

But why can’t we just have it as a 13+ can chat setting because voice chat is on there. Voice chat people can say what ever they like, ye they get banned but with the chat box it’s hashtags instead of the word

Its is just voice chat only now I a level 98

My question is how do you investigate something that was supposinly said in a party. Are all voice chats recorded. My son was banned for some reason and we dont know why. He has only beennplaying with me and he has not said or done anything. So was
he banned just because someone got upset and decided to report him falsely. As the ban was from voice communication i can only assume it was for something he said which is not possible. Also why dont we receive a message pitlining why you were banned.

if u cant speak in voice chat, there are a few reasons why:

1. your cod account has been voice banned meaning you can't speak until it's over;

2. your headset isn't plugged in correctly

3. you are in an xbox party (leave it so you can speak on cod voice chat because it doesn't let you speak on both channels)

4. your voice chat mode is set to "push to talk" instead of open mic
