Why is my Storage full on the Game DVR Xbox App for Windows 10?

I have Windows 10 and I am trying to like and use the Xbox App. I play on PC and a lot of my friends play on Xbox so I wanted to share some of my captures/clips with them.

My first issue was the app telling me that it (the app) can't upload or share do to it not recognizing the game. Well ok. I figured a way around that and was able to post what ever I wanted.

Next I was getting an issue saying "sorry, this can't be shared. Your storage is full. Delete some captures to make space". So I did (delete some captures). That did not work. So I deleted all but one 23 second capture and I was still getting the same message
    of full storage. HOW?

My question is how is my storage full if the only capture I have to post is only 23 seconds long @158.7MB in size? I have plenty of space on my PC so I know that's not the problem.

Before I go on I feel I need to give a bit more information so that I may receive the proper help. I play in 4K and have been for years now, so the files that I capture to put in the Xbox app Game DVR folder are/ were pretty big. Each capture was about 2
to 3GB. I was able to post about 6 captures before I got the message about full storage. That's why I left a very small file for testing purposes. I even completely cleared the capture folder then only left the one small file. Under the Game DVR tab I made
sure that there were no captures in "On This PC" and "On Xbox Live". So what is the problem?

Does deleting files not free up space?

My next question is: Does one have to pay for gold live to post captures?

My next question is: If the captures are stored in/on a cloud server how much space does each person have?

I asked a question about space limits/limitations to a Microsoft Customer Service personnel via online chat and She and the rest of that staff could not find that information they really tried lol (VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE WAY), I even checked many
sources on the web and no one knows.

I don't record with Game DVR and I don't edit with it. I use other programs to do such, and I was able to post just fine at first. What changed?

Has anyone else experience this, or am I the only one that has taken the Game DVR this far beyond it's basics lol?

    :)

Does anyone know how to edit video and put it back on your xbox one?

From the Game DVR screen within the Xbox app, you can access and edit all game clips recorded on Windows 10, as well as clips shared from your Xbox One. Editing in the Xbox app is restricted to Trim at this time. For more info:

Xbox Live Storage Full - Error (not full)

Xbox Live storage was completely purged when not full and I'm still unable to upload via Windows 10 app or Xbox One with returned error always stating storage is full.

Attempted to use chat support, but lets say that resulted in all my local DVR storage being deleted (thanks Brenda...), so I'm hoping someone else may have a solution.

Everything was fine up until yesterday. No changes have been made on my end and my storage wasn't close to full yet.

Using my 10 app, the Xbox One, and my account.xbox profile I can see that my Live storage is empty, so I should be able to upload. Whenever I attempt to upload from Xbox or the app I get a storage full error.

I've rebooted everything possible on my end, but I know that's not the issue. Since Live is responding with storage full I believe it's a profile error on Live side, but that had supposedly been reset and I deleted and re-added my profile on all the things.
Anywho, I'm pretty much lost here and can no longer upload to Live, which prevents downloading to my PC or sharing with friends.

    Here's all I've done thusfar:

    - Rebooted router, Xbox, and PC.

    - Deleted/re-added profile on App and Xbox after one tech told me they reset my profile/account.

    - Reset Xbox - Keep games and apps. (this is where Brenda didn't think about it deleting my local DVR and I could throat punch her right now for all I just lost... not nice I know, but losing my DVR items wasn't fun).

    - Toggled settings for uploading; with reboots in between.

Honestly, I'm at a loss and it really seems like this is on MS side and I can't get a resolution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
