Why is my repair request for my Xbox One estimated to take so long?

I created my order on December, 21, and not including Christmas when FedEx was closed, it took 4 days to deliver the console to the repair center. Now it's telling me that it will return to me on January 16th, 2015. If it takes the same 4 days for it to
be delivered to me that still leaves 16 days to repair the console not including New Years. So what is Microsoft doing to my console that they need 16 days to repair it? It's excessive and in complete contrast to what their estimated repair time is including
shipping time is at max 21 days... not 25. What's going on?

Lifespan?

Game consoles have an estimated life of 3 to 5 years. The fourth and fifth years would be the time when there would be a lot of repairs that need to be done. If the repairs are good, the life span could be increased for another 2 to 3 years. My original xbox lasted for 5 years. Instead of having it repaired, I just bought an xbox 360.

 

Cannot contact Microsoft Support

I request support for the repair of my xBox , I think my warranty has expired . But I do not mind paying parea repair. My problem is I can no longer juagr with HDMI, before if he could , he spent one month and now can not. I have asked several times online
repair but when I put the second step ( exactly put my address ) sends me error , try again later , will this be why my Xbox is based in Spain ? and I am from Peru . Please help

 

Those dates are estimates based on current work load are the repair center inclusive of holidays. It is entirely possible that your console will be dealt with before the 16th January and already back under your TV playing games.

Like I say, the 16th January is just an estimate they have for you right now.

 

Yeah I guess I realized this after I posted :/ but to hell with my Xbox for breaking down at a time like this!
