    Why is my Original xbox one ruining power bricks with every single xbox update


    I Have an original xbox one and every single time xbox does an update it causes powerfully issues. Before I went aftermarket I went oem with power supplies I bought 1 new 1 refurbished and 1 used each of them went yellow on the LED during the installation of an xbox update, after those I bought an aftermarket which also went yellow icon and would not work no matter how you just to do a reset. Finally I bought the cheapest aftermarket one that I'm surprised hasn't burnt my house down with how hot it gets and during the xbox updates this one shuts down then gives red led. It's survived the first update power failure but im waiting to see if it makes it again.

    If this was the reason then my xbox wouldn't have worked for the past month. I repeat, it stopped working right after the August update. Also, It ruined my power brick. It wouldn't start at all now. I'll get another power brick and see what happens. I'll
    update later.

    If it's an Xbox One S or X you should be okay if it's one of the original Xbox One consoles that has the power brick then you will need to obtain a new power brick.

    If it is an Xbox One S or X then it should work as these support multi voltages. If it is the original Xbox One that has a separate power brick then you will purchase a replacement power brick.

    I've replaced my power supply for my original Xbox One two times... similar issues to what you're describing. It took a full unplug.. I even unplugged the cable from the wall and from the brick. The brick was always very warm when I did this.. I believe
    the brick itself was overheating, which is why I replaced it.
