Why is my new Xbox One so old?

I recently purchased an Xbox One w/ Forza this month from Amazon and it came brand-new out-of-the-box with scratches and dings to the pretty areas. So, I returned it and they sent me a brand-new, unopened replacement which looks fine, as far as I can tell.
However, I noticed that the first one was made in December 2013 and the replacement was made in January 2014. I know it's not something that should be a big deal, but does this seem odd to anyone else that Microsoft has sold so many of these and yet I get
two from Amazon that are made so long ago? It just gets me thinking that I could have gotten old tech, when I probably should have gotten one that was a few months old or less. Does anyone know if they've updated the components inside much since January?

WHY DOESN'T XBOX ONE PLAY MP3?

Ok. got a question to ask! I have a bunch of mp3 music that I've stored in my flashdrive. It play fine when I plug in my xbox 360 usb port but when I plug my fashdrive in my new xbox one console usb port, it doesn't read or notice at all. Why doesn't
the xbox one play mp3 format? And why xbox 360 does? What is going on with this, xbox one is a new and updated console then why the hell it's not playing mp3 format from my flashdrive? I usually listen to my music while gaming and this new xbox one console that
I work really hard to earn should be able to do all and much more than my old xbox360 but to my disappointment it DOESN'T PLAY MP3. WHY WHY WHY??????

You're better off with the older models, the new ones are incredibly loud lately
