Why is my NEW Xbox 360 E disc drive running loudly?

I purchased the console new three days ago. Since then I've ran a handful of disc-based games on it, and all of them sounded pretty quiet, all except for one of them. This one made the console sound really loud as I booted the game up, and did not get any
more quiet as I was playing. I've heard the usual arguments:

-that it's probably the disc itself

-installing it onto the HDD will make it quieter

But I'm not satisfied with those responses. The game disc in question is in great shape, same as all the other discs in my collection. To sum it up, I haven't had any problems with this console yet, other than this one thing, and I'm just wondering how normal
this situation is. Here are my questions:

Does this just happen sometimes (with certain discs)?

Is this harmful to the console, and is it okay to run the game with it running the disc that loud?

Is this harming the disc itself?

Should I get this console exchanged before the return period expires?

I already know I could install it, but I'm looking for more info on the matter at hand, I want to know more.

Loud wirring noise from 360 S

Its called the disc drive running.

Still unsure why 360s do it on startup though.

My 360 S sometimes sounds louder than normal when the disc drive is running due to the side of the console vibrating against the top part.

If you move it just a tiny bit it goes away.

 

Transferring GTA San Andreas save to new Xbox 360

I have a disc copy of GTA San Andreas, and I have a save on my old white Xbox 360. I recently bought a new Xbox 360 E and transferred all my game saves with a flash drive, but I'm unable to transfer San Andreas. Is it possible to transfer San Andreas?

 

If it's just the one disc, chances are it could just and issue with that disc. If it were going to harm the disc, it probably would have already, but since you don't see any scratches or anything on it, then it probably won't. I have a few games that tend
to sound like the console is about to take off when it starts, but it hasn't caused any issues.

If you are worried about it though, I would go ahead and return it while you are in the return period and it's easier to get a new one.

 

Thanks for the response, Smwutches. I'm really considering returning it, just really unsure about it at the moment. I don't want to make something out of nothing, but it's just really odd that it would be running one disc loudly and then run 5 others just
fine.
