    Why is my headset not playing audio


    i have a xbox and i can only hear sound through my headset if i'm on a party with someone but if im listening to music on my xbox and playing my game it still goes through my tv.

    Is it something to do with my settings, i know my headset works because i've used it for talking to people.

    it wont work via bluetooth as the controller does not pass audio vie bluetooth.

    wired then it technically should pic the headset up as a usb audio device. i normally use either a turtlebeach 3.5mm headset or my mobile phone headset.

    not sure why it wont work over usb though.

    I am unsure as to why it's like this but it's one headset basically for party chat per Xbox. Probably the way the Xbox routes the audio. To be fair most people who are playing couch coop aren't going to use headsets like in your case.

    we already know the audio quality is better that's why current headsets aren't compatible.
