Why is my email on microsoft a different email

If your credit card was assigned to the Microsoft account then please let your mother know of the issue. You should then tell her to contact her bank immediately to reduce the chances of fraud. Stay vigilant to look at any possible charges on the account. It may even be a good idea to ask the bank to change the details or get a new card if it is possible.

I would then strongly reccommend migrating all accounts that are linked to your compromised email address. You should try to detach them immediately, usually through the help of the support team of that services. Make sure to do this for Email addresses that may have the compromised account as their security option.

You should also change your passwords for your accounts - especially if they are the same. (Please do not let them be the same in the future.)

Then you can try to recover your account if you would like. Of course, your original email details are lost, so the first idea to find your email is to directly log into your account with your phone number.

If this does not work, you can try to look for email receipts on alternative accounts or find accounts you made be logged into on different services.

Make sure to complete it in an area you would usually access your account from. It is important to be consistent with this form, you can complete the form twice a day everyday until your regain access to your account. Repeating this will increase your odds of recovery.

Well when I click that link and try to change my email address to one that already exists it says: You can't use @hotmail.com in your Microsoft account email address. Please try a different email address.

I'm afraid that since somebody else owns the email address, the xbox live account is considered theirs, the only option would be to contact the owner of the email address and get them to help and move the Xbox Live Account to a different Microsoft account,

You will need the email and password to do those steps, which is why the owner of the email address (Microsoft Account) is needed to assist

Email is not fake, there is a valid email, I just cannot remember the email, but I can prove it's my account, so then why can microsoft not change my associated email to a different email address (the one i'm currently using), I am also over 18 now so I
do not need family settings, so that I can still play on my account? To me it sounds like microsoft would rather follow their code then actually keep their customers satisfied.

They have the same account names n everything, I feel like a ****, but seriously why isn't it on my main Microsoft account and why can I log into a different account with a Gmail email?
