Why is my Console so LOUD when I play a DVD

I recently bought an Xbox One S for my son for Christmas. This weekend we decided to use it to play a movie. The drive was distractingly loud. The whirring noise coming from the console was full on distracting.

Is this a know problem with the new Xbox 1 S or does this sound like a have a defective piece of hardware?

Xbox fan gets very loud after I shut it off

i have cod ghost ryse dead riesing 3 in dvd but when i put on console all right but when i start to play some loud start together i tough button white noisy less or menu game dont have noisy loud ,only begin to play same, my uncle is very silence

Installing Games to the Hard Drive

I have an Xbox 360 Slim 250GB version console. I recently installed MW3 to my hard drive (from the disc), but my console is still loud when I play the game. And when I turn off my console, before it completely powers off, it gets a lot louder for some reason,
then shuts off. Why is this happening?

Is this a noise coming from the DVD drive you think, or the fan? The console will make a small amount of noise while it's in use of course, but it shouldn't become distracting ever. It's best to reach out to our phone team who might be able to diagnose it

Well, the movies aren't as loud as uninstalled 360 games, but they are much louder then Installed games. And most movies use the same type DVD, so I don't think that would be why.

to add to the chaos.. now whenever i play a game or dvd, there's a loud, vibrating sound coming from the console. like old computers would do when running a game or dvd.. it immediately stops when i revert back to the dashboard, only to build up again when
i play anything through the disc drive. the console has never been dropped or tampered with, i've had it for about a month now, and it sits in a ventilated and clean environment.

so 2 things to be addressed through this post:

1) xbox slowing down after 10 gb worth of memory used, and casual gaming use for almost a month. only fixed by buying a new hd?

2) loud, vibrating sound when console is running a game or dvd through the disk drive

No, my console ran much quieter in the past. This level of noise only used to happen when I was playing a game on for more than an hour. Now it gets this loud (louder than my window fan on high!) as soon as it starts, even during DVD playback, even with
no disk. It's either a hardware or software problem.
