    Why is my audio not working in only fortnite?


    My audio works perfectly in every other game, but when I get on fortnite, it doesn't seem to work at all.

    I can hear game chat, and I have checked my in game audio settings.

    I have updated my drivers. I'm clueless and I need some guidence.

    Xbox mic not working

    It's probably a fortnite issue, the only way to use game chat in fortnite is by going to voice chat in the pause menu and turning it on from there, if that doesn't work you can go to audio settings ingame and disable voice chat then re-enable it. This
    has always worked for me but if it doesn't I would report the bug to fortnite.

    Thank you for your response, what I am starting to learn is that Microsoft has much stricter privacy settings than Sony. It appears that while broadcasting I can only include the audio of people in my party and only if they check a box saying I can include
    their audio, but that there is no way for me to include game chat audio on my stream (like voice chat in fortnite for example). I don’t understand why Microsoft doesn’t allow this and that was my main question. Hope you stay safe in these hard times as well.

    Fortnite mic issue

    Check the Fortnite audio settings. If headset works with everything else, the issue is related to the game.

    Hey, instead of this problem only happening in fortnite, my the xbox isnt picking up any sound but has been working fine for several months. My mic monitering is working like always, it relays sound back to me of its too loud, but the xbox isnt sensing
    any audio at all from the mic.

    If its fortnite the game is bugged i usally turn off all the audio settings then turn it back on restart fortnite and join a xbox party then switch to game chat it works sometimes
