    Why is my account not allowed to play online when i have xbox live gold?


    I bought a 1 year gold on xbox one in june last year, but when I go onto my xbox 360, it says i dont have gold when I know I do.

    Xbox Live account is not allowed to play online???

    I bought a used Xbox and it works fine and everything but I made an xbox live account and it said I would get 1 month free xbox live but when I try to play online it says "This account is not allowed to play online" or something like that.. Why is is not
    letting me play online?

    Hi, does anyone know why im recieving this message when I try to go online, I have just renewed my xbox live gold account and have no restrictions on the account

    It says.... notice: current profile not allowed to play on xbox live.

    Are you using the same account on both consoles or do you actually share gold on the One?

    I completely understand that philosophy, my question is why am I allowed to play online on one Xbox that has no gold associated with it and I have been the only owner of, but my second Xbox won’t play online. If I can play vanguard for free online with one Xbox, why would the other Xbox not allow the same thing

    Hi there, so when you say you verified is membership is current, does that mean you have purchased an Xbox Live Gold subscription? To use any of the online features of a game, you must have a current XBL Gold Sub.

    If you're sure he has a gold sub then it might be that his privacy and online settings do not allow his account to play online, please see the following link for steps on how to update security settings to allow for online play:

    Gold membership allows you to access Xbox LIVE, but to play online with someone they will need to use their own account, or some games have the option to use a guest account to be able to play on LIVE with the main gold user.
