Why is my A button not working on Minecraft?

I have tried everything to have my A button work. But no such luck and I read the article with restarting the Xbox and saving games/apps. Is there another solution because I would really like to join my friends playing the game?

It worked, but as soon as I quit the app it didn’t work again. Getting frustrated!

Try to reinstall the game again and see if that will help because this could possibly just a bug within the game and some gamers are able to make it work through reinstallation multiple times.

Yes, it’s only that game! I have used two other controller, and no suck luck. The Minecraft preview works with the A button though. I have also tried everything you mentioned and that didn’t help at all. Just want this problem to be fixed.

Is this the only game that the controller is not working?

Have you tried using other controllers?

If this is the only game that the button is not working, try reinstalling the game or do a power cycle on your Xbox, unplug everything for 30 seconds and turn it back on.
